1 - Model 1, “GAILLARD Paris…Adresse…Oval Framed” stamping, there are 3 different types. GAIL-MOD-1-TYP-03 : GAILLARD PARIS 81.FAUBGSTDENIS

Before 1903 :

This stamp has 3 different types. It is found on very old copper pots from the house GAILLARD. Some pots correspond to products already in progress at least in 1870 (whether they are "dovetail" or stamped in one piece).

To you, seller friends and culinary copper enthusiasts who are selling old copper pots by passing by to take your dates here, thank you for citing your sources.

A little word, a little link, it's always nice!

Thank you for respecting my work. Yours, T.J.

For the moment, the dates below correspond to the copper pots from GAILLARD that I have analyzed for years. The dates could move slightly if I were to receive new items in the future.

This stamp also has 3 different types. It is found on very old copper pots from the house GAILLARD. The ones I know are all less than 2mm thick. All stamped in one piece. The 1930s :

This stamp has only 1 type. It shows all types of copper pots from GAILLARD. I do not know of saucepans, sauté pans, flared sauté pans or marmites "dovetail" with this stamping. Obviously, turbotières and other copper pots requiring "dovetail" work can include this stamping. As well as the pots mounted with autogenous welds. This stamp can be dated to the 1930s.

GAIL-MOD-10-TYP-01: GAILLARD PARIS dashes on the sides

The late 1950s and beyond
:

This stamp has 4 different types. It usually shows somewhat special copper pots. Such as steamers pomme-vapeur, mini-soup tureens, champagne bucket, mini-marmites, small fishmongers, oval or round gratin dishes, etc ... On tinned or silver-plated pots. Some pots are lathe, this is clearly visible on steamers and small pots, others not, like some gratin dishes. Still others are hammered, like some small fishmongers. This stamp can be dated to the late 1950s and beyond.

11 - Model 11, “GAILLARD Paris unstuck” stamping (I name it “unstuck” in contradiction with model 12 where the “P” and the “S” of PARIS are almost stuck against GAILLARD), there is 1 type.

GAIL-MOD-11-TYP-01 : GAILLARD PARIS

Late 1950s and beyond :

This stamp has only 1 type. It shows all types of copper pots from GAILLARD. Pots with this stamp are the same as those with Model 12. This stamp can be dated to the late 1950s and beyond. In the 1970s it is still in use and most certainly in the 1980s.

12 - Model 12, Stamping “GAILLARD Paris stuck” (I name it “stuck” in contradiction with model 11 where “PARIS” is frankly below GAILLARD), there is 1 type.

GAIL-MOD-12-TYP-01 : GAILLARD PARIS

Late 1950s and beyond :

This stamp has only 1 type. It shows all types of copper pots from GAILLARD. Pots with this stamp are the same as those with Model 11. This stamp can be dated to the late 1950s and beyond. In the 1970s it is still in use and most certainly in the 1980s.

It should be added that we can find different sizes for some models above. Sometimes surprisingly large and sometimes strangely small.

I still have to find a file on one of my hard drives (computers that have broken during the past years). This file contains important information on GAILLARD as well as stamps not present here.

At the end of the 1960s, the English company Judge International filed its patents for INOCUIVRE laminated copper-stainless steel plates. In the second half of the 1970s, the Belgian house Sartel Faymont used these plates to make saucepans, sauté pans, stock pots, etc., the range of which would bear the name INOCUIVRE.

At the end of the 1970s, GAILLARD offered its customers the INOCUIVRE copper-stainless steel pots of this range. I know these pots well, but I do not have an example stamped by the GAILLARD house.

In the 1980s, GAILLARD also offered copper-stainless steel from the Swiss manufacturer Spring Culinox. I know this type of pots well, but neither do I have an example stamped by GAILLARD.

In 1989, the MAUVIEL house released its range of copper-stainless steel pots and I obviously think that the GAILLARD house also offered them to its customers. Here too, I do not have an example stamped by the GAILLARD house.

To all Copper lovers !
